Data Scientist 

•Detectives of the digital world
•Data Scientists make meaning from digital data by seeing it in the larger context
•They do this by collecting, organizing, cleaning analysing and interpreting data
•Their interpretation is used by businesses and governments to make better decisions, reach more customers, or provide better services.
•Using both tools and methods from statistics and machine learning

Robotic Scientist

•Robots are those machines which can execute the duties that humans are either unable or prefer not to complete.
•This field deals with the construction, design, application and operation of robots.
•Also involves research methods to manufacture them in a cost-effective manner.

Product Designer

•Who designs the look of different types of products, from mobile devices to vehicles.
• Work with the ease of use for the product, so it’s not all about the aesthetics.
•Make improvements and increase the functionality and efficiency of the product.
•Also design the systems and processes to use different products

Architect

Architects plan and design houses, factories, office buildings, and other structures.
•Spend much of their time in offices, where they develop plans, meet with clients, and consult with engineers and other architects.
•Communicate design to clients and engineers
•Visit construction sites to prepare initial drawings and review the progress of projects to ensure that clients’ objectives are met.
•Work individually or in teams, depending on the scale of the project
•Check all regulations have been followed

Pilot

Air Crew Officer who operates the flying controls of an aircraft.
•Two types of Pilots: Commercial/Airline and Defense
•Commercial pilots fly and navigate aeroplanes, helicopters, and other aircraft for airlines etc.
•Defense pilots are in the Air Force and usually fly fighter planes and serve the country

 A2. No. it is not compulsory.

A4. Biotechnology is not a mandatory subject for genetic engineering.

A5. You don’t require psychology as a subject in school to pursue further studies in psychology.

Q6.What is the right time of the year for applying in the colleges?

A6. For DU and other colleges in the northern part of the country application forms for college are out by the month of April and for some other colleges specifically in the west and south, the forms are released in the month of May.

 Q7. Are there any entrance exams for admissions to these courses?

A7. For B. Tech., Bachelors in Engineering, MBBS courses you will have to give national entrance tests. But for B.Sc. courses you need not necessarily give an entrance exam until a college specifically has its own entrance exam as a requirement for admission into the course.

Q8. Can we pursue pharmaceutical science with PCB only?

A8. You can be either from the PCB or PCM background to enter B. Pharm. Course.

Career Explorer Contest

Introduction:

What do you want to be when you grow up? My English teacher once asked me this question at the end of a class. I’m sure that you too have come across this question some time.

 Choosing a career has always been a difficult “job”, however one that everyone has to do sooner or later. You would agree that this becomes a lot easier if we know what all our parents and our friends’ parents do when they go to the office every day. 

To help you get more knowledge and make a good use of your time at home, we’ve come up with this Competition. Not only will you get to learn a lot of new stuff about what people do in different professions, you may also win a prize along the way and have loads of fun!

1) 1st 3 students will get a cash prize of ₹ 1000 each.
